I've been using scrcpy for several years, on quite an old version (1.3) and it has been working very well. The phone it is connected to is quite old as well, running Android 10. This is mostly used by my disabled son who uses a joystick on his PC to control the phone remotely (over a usb cable).

Just recently, on connect, the phone will immediately reboot, every time. The phone is old enough that it hasn't had any recent updates and I've not updated scrcpy either. OTP mode also crashes after a couple of minutes; the normal screenshare mode comes up with a green rectangle on the PC while the phone restarts. OTP mode isn't really a solution as you can't 'uncapture' the mouse without a key sequence, plus the screenshare mode allows us to scale up the display to make it more readable.

I get the same issue connecting from a windows host and a linux host, and I have also tried the latest version of scrcpy (3.1), so this looks like a problem at the Android end

I was able to capture logs from adb during a connection setting - that's about where my technical skills on Android end so I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction - I appreciate this isn't a problem with scrcpy as such but it certainly tickles a bug somewhere that is upsetting the phone.
