Describe the Feature

Hi! I know this might not be possible bc of potential copyright issues but a few people have said it would be nice to be able to add music to our posts like on Instagram and I also think this would be a great feature. I know Insta are having some issues around copyright with it but I thought it's worth asking to see if it would be possible down the line?

Do you mean as in attaching music files to the post? As far as I know, you can already play music through embedded external player from streaming services like shown here:

There have been previous requests for Audio posts on Bluesky (eg: #5869), but I think what you're asking for would be more like a video-editing feature — to add music to a post that contains video or images.

Yes! That's what we were thinking - like you can on Instagram. But apparently Insta had some problems with it over copyright on some songs being added over posts? So not sure if it's viable. But people were talking about it so I said I would ask on here.
