I'd like to suggest adding optional relationship management features to Birday to help users maintain deeper connections with their contacts. This would extend the app's existing birthday management capabilities while keeping its core simplicity.
I was inspired by Lunatask which has a feature for helping you maintain and build upon relationships in the busy world of today.
Although not really events, I only really imagine integration into this app. Perhaps the usecase is off but I feel like it would be a superb enhancement.
Proposed Features
Contact based management
Relationship categorization (Family, Close Friends, Friends)
Optional reconnection reminders
Simple notes field for each contact
Benefits
Helps users maintain more meaningful connections, going beyond "events"
Complements existing birthday reminders
Keeps Birday's simple, efficient approach while adding depth
Technical Considerations
Would require database schema updates
Would require a contacts or person approach rather than events
Might require major work, perhaps not suited for Birday
Would love to hear thoughts on this idea and whether it aligns with Birday's vision! Perhaps this might inspire other features?
